Segovia, unanimemente osannato come il massimo interprete-chitarrista del XX secolo, è inspiegabilmente ignorato quasi del tutto come compositore.
Egli fu invece autore di numerose composizioni, tutte di altissimo valore musicale e degne di figurare tra le vette del repertorio chitarristico grazie alla loro profonda ispirazione, fresca inventiva e sapienza compositiva.
Mi auguro che presto tutte le sue composizioni entrino nei programmi da concerto e nei programmi di studio dei chitarristi; spero quindi che la mia registrazione contribuisca a rivalutare l'opera compositiva di quel grande artista che fu Andrés Segovia.

Segovia, worldwide acclaimed as the greatest guitarist of the 20th century, is inexplicably ignored as a composer.
However he was the author of many compositions, all of high musical value and worth to appear among the summits of the guitar repertoire, thanks to their deep inspiration, fresh imagination and compositional mastery.
I wish that all his compositions will soon be included in concerts and study programs of the guitar players. I wish therefore that my recording helps to upgrade the compositional works of that great artist who was Andrés Segovia.
